What is Kittum?
Kittum is accounting and payroll software being built for firms that manage many small businesses. It brings client work, company records, documents, review, and follow-up into one workspace.
Who is it for?
The first version is focused on New Jersey accounting firms and small employers, generally with 1–50 employees per company.
Can I use Kittum today?
Not for live client work yet. The product is in private development and is being tested with fictional companies and records.
What accounting work does it cover?
The current application includes cash- and accrual-basis books, invoices, bills, bank reconciliation, journals, close, reporting, payroll entries, and practical inventory workflows.
What payroll work does it cover?
Kittum supports employer and employee setup, schedules, earnings, deductions, calculation, review, approvals, liabilities, corrections, quarter review, and accounting entries in private testing.
Can Kittum send Direct Deposit or file payroll returns?
Not yet. Live employee deposits, tax payments, federal filing, and New Jersey filing depend on banking and agency connections that are still being completed.
Why start only in New Jersey?
Payroll and filing rules differ by state. Kittum is proving the full process in one jurisdiction before expanding elsewhere.
Can clients upload documents?
Only the fictional-data test portal is active. The public website does not accept client uploads, and real documents must wait for a separate production release.
Will Kittum connect to bank accounts?
Bank-feed workflows have been tested with Plaid Sandbox. Real bank connections are not active until production approval and client-consent procedures are complete.
How much will it cost?
Pricing has not been set. It will be based on the final service model, company and employee volume, modules, partner costs, and the support Kittum provides.
